The VITALITY study has begun to use the Wisepill RT2000 device at our Zimbabwe site. This will help our young participants remember to take their Vitamin D and for the team to measure adherence. This dispenser is an electronic pill storage container which will be used by VITALITY participants for 24 weeks, from weeks 24-48) inclusive. Wisepill makes for easy storage and dispensing of their vitamin D tablets.
To accompany the introduction of the dispenser, the Team has also made a VITALITY information video which is intended is to give the participants enrolling into the adherence to vitamin D sub-study, a pictorial view of how to use the Wisepill dispenser.
